Murray's Ice Cream & Cookies

Chocolate Flake Fromage and Malt Licker

The soda jerks, as they are called, fit just perfectly in the hipper, ice creamier version of a Crayola store, known as Murray's, in Westport, on Pennsylvania Avenue. The rainbows on the wall and use of primary colors throughout the shop, makes every guest feel young again, even your pets. Murray's offers ice cream treats for your dog for only $1.35 each.

A couple brought their dog for a treat

Most ice creams featured at Murray's are your average flavors with a twist. Instead of chocolate chip, Chocolate Flake Fromage is offered. Also, Strawberry Fromage is similar to regular strawberry ice cream, but with an awesome kick of flavor. Another featured ice cream involves wine soaked cherries, yet another includes maple syrup and bacon. Yes, BACON! I bravely tried the flavor known as Hog Heaven. The taste of bacon is only slightly noticeable until the ice cream is melted and you're left with a hunk of bacon to chew. I would describe it as breakfast ice cream, and it's not nearly as bad as it sounds. So, grab two giant scoops of ice cream for around five dollars, and have a seat at the little bar-top, a table inside, outside on one of the brightly colored benches, or just walk around the lovely Westport and enjoy.
